Hermès Roulis Mini, Vert Cypress (6O), Lizard, Gold Hardware

Now live: a Hermès Roulis Mini in Vert Cypress lizard with gold hardware. The Roulis is Hermès at its most quietly clever, a minimal flap bag closed with a rounded bar drawn from the house’s famous anchor chain, and in lizard it moves into genuinely rare territory. A deep forest green that reads almost black indoors and comes alive in the sun.

Why It Matters

The Roulis is built around one detail: a smooth, rounded clasp taken from the Chaîne d’Ancre, the anchor-chain link Robert Dumas designed for Hermès in 1938 and one of the house’s most enduring motifs. Everything else is pared back, clean flap, soft body, convertible strap.

That rounded bar is also practical. With no large flat surfaces, it hides wear far better than an H or turn-lock, so the bag ages gracefully.

In the Mini format the Roulis becomes something close to jewelry. Executed in lizard, among the most demanding skins Hermès works with, and in Vert Cypress, one of the deepest greens in its palette, it is a collector-level exotic.

This Example

Vert Cypress (6O) lizard with a fine, tightly aligned scale structure, gold hardware, lambskin lining with a center divide and slip pocket, and a convertible strap for shoulder or crossbody wear.
