Now Live: Hermès Kelly Mini II Sellier, Bluet Ostrich, Palladium Hardware

Hermès Kelly Mini II, Bleut, Ostrich

Now live: a 2019 Hermès Kelly Mini II sellier in Bluet ostrich with palladium hardware, unworn with protective plastic still in place. The Mini II is one of the hardest Kellys to obtain, and ostrich is among the most technical exotics Hermès produces. Full set, including the original store receipt.

Why It Matters

The Kelly is the oldest of the great Hermès bags, evolving from a 1930s saddle-bag design and taking its name from Grace Kelly, who made it famous in the 1950s. Its sellier construction, with exterior saddle stitching and a rigid frame, is the most formal expression of Hermès craft.

The Mini II reduces that form to 20cm and adds a shoulder strap, making the most structured Kelly also the most wearable. It is among the most requested and least available sizes in the boutiques.

Ostrich suits sellier construction. Its raised quill pattern spreads evenly across rigid panels, and the follicles catch color differently from the smooth skin between them, giving the Bluet a natural depth that calfskin cannot reproduce.

This Example
