Now live: the De Bethune DB15 Perpetual Calendar in rose gold. It is a classical complication filtered through one of the most original independent workshops in Switzerland, with floating lugs, a silvered dial and De Bethune’s signature spherical moonphase in polished and blued titanium. Like new, with every calendar function working as it should.
De Bethune was founded in 2002 by watchmaker Denis Flageollet and collector David Zanetta in the Jura village of L’Auberson. In just over two decades it has built a reputation few independents match, pairing traditional complications with genuinely new engineering: silicon and titanium balance wheels, its own shock protection and the three-dimensional spherical moonphase that has become its calling card.
The DB15 shows that thinking applied to the perpetual calendar, one of watchmaking’s most demanding classical complications. The layout stays legible and balanced, while the moon at twelve gives the dial a sculptural focal point no conventional disc can match.
Production at De Bethune is small, and perpetual calendars are a fraction of it.
Offered in like-new condition with virtually no signs of wear. The rose gold case is sharp, the silvered dial with applied Roman numerals is pristine, and the day, month, date and moonphase indications all operate as intended.
