Now Live: Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Green Dial, New and Unworn

Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Green Dial, Oystersteel

Now live: a new, unworn Rolex Oyster Perpetual with a sunburst green dial. It is the simplest watch Rolex makes and arguably the purest: hours, minutes and seconds, no date, a chronometer-certified caliber 3230 with 70 hours of reserve, and a color that shifts from deep forest to bright emerald as it catches the light.

Why It Matters

The Oyster Perpetual is the foundation of everything Rolex is known for. The waterproof Oyster case of 1926 and the self-winding Perpetual rotor of 1931 are combined here in their most essential form, without a date, a bezel or a complication to distract from them.

The current generation, introduced in 2020, brought the caliber 3230 with Rolex’s Chronergy escapement, blue Parachrom hairspring and a 70-hour power reserve, along with a run of bold dial colors that made the model unexpectedly hard to get. Green is among the most versatile of them.

For a collector, it is the Rolex that goes with everything else in the box.
